Moorhead, MS - October 16, 2025 - Trojan Alumnus JA'Coby Brayboy was named the inaugural Mississippi Delta Community College Trojan E-Sports Head Coach. The Greenville native was selected this past summer and went to work to create the first historical team on the Moorhead Campus. After finding 10 capable and talented players, Coach Brayboy, a graduate of Riverside High School in Avon, Mississippi. The Physical Health and Recreation major's team is working through three gaming titles, including Call of Duty, Fortnite and Madden.

"Since we're an Upstart program, I went to our students who are currently enrolled here, did trials and interviews, and ended up selecting 10 members," Coach Brayboy said. "We are open Monday through Wednesday, 5 to 9, with our practices. And then, depending on the game and title, we'll have a tournament or a regular season game competing with colleges all around the nation in Division III."

The MDCC E-Sports team practices and plays in Tanner Hall in a special setup room with Scepter monitors, GT player gaming chairs, and they compete on Xbox Series X for the console.
