Bio
Coach Perez brings 16 years of high school football coaching experience across Arkansas and Oklahoma, working at the 2A through 6A levels. He has spent the majority of his career coaching linebackers, with an additional two-year stint coaching defensive backs. Over 11 seasons, Coach Perez served as a Defensive Coordinator, and he has three years of experience as a Head Coach at the high school level.
In addition to his high school background, Coach Perez has coached at the semi-professional level, spending the 2024 and 2025 spring seasons with the Oklahoma Bears out of Oklahoma City. During his time with the Bears, he coached defensive backs and served as the Interim Defensive Coordinator for the 2025 season. Most recently, he worked as the Defensive Analyst for the Minn West Bluejays during the 2025 season under Head Coach Jermaine Smith.
Coach Perez earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Health and Physical Education from Arkansas Tech University. He later completed a Master’s degree in Kinesiology, specializing in Sports Business and Administration, from the University of Central Missouri.
He is married to Abby Perez (formerly Abby Christie), and together they have three children. Coach Perez believes strongly in using football as a platform to shape individuals, teaching discipline, accountability, and resilience through the challenges of the game.
