MDCC revises attendance policies for athletics
MOORHEAD – The Mississippi Delta Community College athletic department has made the decision to increase attendance at all home events after the latest Executive Order from Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves.
Attendance at J.T. Hall Coliseum has been increased to 50 percent, while there will no longer be capacity guidelines at outdoor venues such as the Jimmy Bellipanni Baseball Complex and the Carl & Brenda Grubb Softball Complex.
The only seats available in J.T. Hall Coliseum will be the chairback seating just above the retractable bleachers, which will remain pushed back for the 2021 season. Hall Coliseum has 742 chairback seats, so attendance for home basketball games will be capped at 371 attendees.
Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the arena and all spectators will be socially distanced under a mandatory face mask order.
Fans of the program may still watch all home games live on the MDCC YouTube channel by searching "MDCC Sports Network," for those unable to view the games in person,
