Expectations Never Change
For the two veteran basketball coaches at Mississippi Delta Community College. Both Women's Basketball Coach Tangela Banks and Men's Basketball Coach Derrick Fears have been putting their respective teams through the paces in preparation for today's start of the 2021-2022 basketball season.
The Trojans and Lady Trojans are both needing consistent play from their seasoned players, but both programs are looking for their talented newcomers to play important roles in the success of both programs.
Teaching teams to be successful is a difficult task. At all levels, everyone recruits to win, practices to win, talks about winning and even sets their goals to win. What is it then that separates a team from the others to rise above the rest and achieve what everyone started out trying to achieve? Having great leadership among the young people on a team is a start and if those young people can put the success of their team before themselves, playing with great effort who knows what can happen. Wishing our Trojans and Lady Trojans all the very best this year!
